What is a Death Doula?
Every week, people approach me to ask for information on the work of a death doula. Some want to know more about the work and whether it is something they might need, and others are interested in becoming death doulas themselves.
If either of those resonates with you, please join me as we spend an hour exploring the work of a death doula, including compassionate care at end-of-life, certification programs, ethics, areas of specialization and much more. There will also be an opportunity for discussion and questions.

Death Education Workshop Series
Preparing for life’s end can be daunting and often avoided in conversation. Organizing documents and grasping the potential physical, emotional, and spiritual changes can make us more ready. Reflecting on our life’s meaning and contributions can lead to a more serene passing. This six-part series delves into the realities of mortality, offering practical advice for all, regardless of age or health.
Throughout the series, we’ll examine various themes related to dying and death. By its conclusion, participants will understand the role of a death doula, the importance of legacy work, practical considerations at end of life, and how we can bring support in dying and death back to the heart of our communities.
